Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. - DBA IES Electrical seeks a full-time Safety Manager in Suffolk, VA. The role delivers OSHA 10 & 30 certification, conducts safety training, and oversees fleet safety for drivers.

You will develop training materials and maintain employee training records while participating in safety inspections and ensuring regulatory compliance. Qualifications include OSHA-500/501 certification and 3+ years of construction safety experience; strong communication and computer skills are

Qualifications

OSHA-500 or OSHA-501 certification required.
3+ years of recent construction safety experience.
Knowledge of OSHA, state and federal safety regulations.
Proficient computer and communication skills (written, verbal).
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and field employees.
Maintain driving qualifications per Fleet Safety Program.
Pre-employment background and MVR checks required.

Responsibilities

Deliver safety training including OSHA 10 & 30 and new-employee orientation.
Conduct safety training on compliance, accident prevention, and equipment operation.
Provide fleet safety training to drivers.
Develop and prepare training materials and presentations.
Maintain training tracking database for all employees.
Assist with safety inspections and corrective actions.
Maintain safety files per regulations.
Travel as required.
