Job summary

North American Stainless is seeking a Safety Administrator to oversee health and safety policies at the plant. You will guide and train Safety Coordinators on OSHA compliance and the company’s procedures.

Responsibilities include administering safety programs, scheduling trainings, maintaining records, supporting ISO 45001 and Workers’ Comp processes, and driving KPI improvements through audits and tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or 3–5 years of related experience.
• Strong understanding of OSHA 1904.
• OSHA auditing experience and training experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Professional and able to maintain confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administering NAS safety policies and keep policies current.
• Develop trainings on policies and procedures for plant employees.
• Train safety coordinators, leads, supervisors and managers.
• Develop and maintain site Toolbox Talks.
• Maintain and distribute daily/weekly safety reports.
• Provide guidance on OSHA compliance questions.
• Assist Sr. Safety Administrator with safety systems administration.
• Assist with ISO 45001 program.
• Maintain Workers Compensation program; manage claims and light-duty.
• Maintain OSHA log.
• Schedule audiograms and respirator testing.
• Maintain Medical Surveillance program documentation.
• Oversee surveillance/medical program staffing.
• Contribute to KPI improvements, audits, trainings.
