Job summary

SmartLam North America is seeking a Safety and Training Coordinator to develop and continuously improve safety programs, lead training, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role partners with leadership to promote a culture of safety, conduct audits and investigations, manage emergency preparedness, and support operational excellence across the facility.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related field, minimum five years of experience, OSHA

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in occupational health, safety, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of related experience.
• OSHA knowledge required.
• Experience writing health and safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to analyze data and produce reports.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage safety programs related to workplace safety, compliance, and risk reduction.
• Lead training, audits, investigations, and emergency preparedness activities.
• Maintain OSHA logs and regulatory records; analyze incident data to identify trends.
• Coordinate safety training for new hires, certifications, and refresher courses.
• Manage contractor safety orientation and compliance with site requirements.
• Foster a proactive safety culture through engagement, safety committees, and continuous improvement.
