SMG seeks a Safety Advisor – Construction in Elk Grove, Illinois – Day Shift

The key function of a Safety Advisor is to put safety at the forefront of their job, prioritize the client’s needs, work well in a team setting, be self-managed, and be flexible when it comes to change and travel. The Associate in this role will work in a construction environment. This project is a new substation. This person will provide safety oversight of construction, including boring and installing piping.

Additional Information

• SMG full-time, benefitted Associates are eligible for Premium Pay after working 40 billable hours for the week. Premium pay is at a 1.35 multiplier.
• Per Diem is available for non-local candidates only. Per diem is $175/day for this project.
• This projects anticpated duration is 4-5 months. Person could be moved to another project near by. Anticipated schedule is Mon-Saturday, up to 10 hours per day. Schedule could change.
• $400 Road Warrior Benefit each month.
• Annual pay/merit review/increase.

Requirements

• Previous experience overseeing substation work or piping crews is a plus
• OSHA 30 hr - Construction
• Must have OSHA 510 certification
• A degree in safety or related fields is preferred but not required
• First-aid/CPR certification from the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
