Safety Management Group, LLC is seeking a Safety Advisor – Construction in Chattanooga, TN for a demanding, long-duration project. The role emphasizes proactive safety leadership, reporting, and compliance in a heavy construction setting.

Per diem is available for non-local candidates, with premium pay after 40 billable hours and Road Warrior benefits. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of construction safety experience, relevant certifications (OSHA 510, OSHA 30, CSP/CHST/STSC preferred),

Qualifications

• Five plus years of construction safety experience
• BSCP Certs preferred including CSP/CHST/STSC
• A degree in safety or related fields preferred
• First-aid/CPR certification required or preferred
• OSHA 510 and OSHA 30-hour Construction preferred

Responsibilities

• Site safety observations and documentation of findings
• Create reports and run safety metrics using software
• Conduct Job Hazard Analysis
• Represent the contractor in progress meetings
• Verify compliance with safety policies and procedures by law and owners/contractors
• Conduct New Hire Orientations and safety meetings
• Provide incident management and support
• Prepare documentation and reports
• Conduct contractor program reviews

SMG seeks a Safety Advisor – Construction in Chattanooga, Tennessee – 1 Day Shift and 1 Night Shift Opening - Per diem is available for this project.

The key function of a Safety Advisor is to put safety at the forefront of their job, prioritize the client’s needs, work well in a team setting, be self-managed, and be flexible when it comes to change and travel. The Associate in this role will work in a construction environment.

This project is rework of a concrete dam.

Additional Information

• SMG full-time, benefitted Associates are eligible for Premium Pay after working 40 billable hours for the week. Premium pay is at a 1.35 multiplier.


• Per Diem is available for non-local candidates only. Per diem is $160/day for this project.


• This projects anticpated duration is until the end of November. Anticipated schedule is 12 hours per day. 7 days per week.


• $400 Road Warrior Benefit each month.


• Annual pay/merit review/increase.

Overview of Job Responsibilities

• Site safety observations, including documentation of findings


• Must be able to create reports, run safety metrics, and use other software programs


• Conduct Job Hazard Analysis


• Represent the contractor in progress meetings


• Verify compliance with safety policies and procedures as required by law, the Owner, and contractors

Requirements

• Five plus years of construction safety experience


• BSCP Cert preferred - CSP, CHST, STSC, etc.


• A degree in safety or related fields is preferred


• First-aid/CPR certification from the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association


• OSHA 510


• OSHA 30-hr Construction

Physical Demands of the job may include
