Job summary

Safety Management Group, LLC is seeking a Safety Advisor – Construction for a Santa Teresa, NM project. Per diem is available for non-local candidates. The role focuses on prioritizing safety on a data center project while coordinating with electrical contractors.

Ideal candidate has five-plus years in construction safety, OSHA 30, and a safety-related degree or certifications. Travel and field presence are expected for this site-based assignment.

Qualifications

• Five plus years of construction safety experience.
• BSCP Certification preferred (CSP, CHST, STSC, etc.).
• A degree in safety or related fields is preferred.
• Experience overseeing electrical work or with an electrical contractor is a plus.
• First aid/CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• OSHA 30-hour training.

Responsibilities

• Site safety observations and documentation of findings.
• Create reports, run safety metrics, and use safety software.
• Conduct Job Hazard Analysis.
• Represent the contractor in progress meetings.
• Verify compliance with safety policies and procedures per law, Owner, and contractors.
• Conduct New Hire Orientations and safety meetings.
• Provide incident management and support.
• Documentation and report preparation.
• Conduct contractor program reviews.

SMG seeks a Safety Advisor – Construction in Santa Teresa, NM- Per diem is available for this project.

The key function of a Safety Advisor is to put safety at the forefront of their job, prioritize the client’s needs, work well in a team setting, be self-managed, and be flexible when it comes to change and travel. The Associate in this role will work in a construction environment.

This is a data center project. This person will be working with one of the electrical contractors; overseeing the safety of their employees.

Additional Information

• SMG full-time, benefitted Associates are eligible for Premium Pay after working 40 billable hours for the week. Premium pay is at a 1.35 multiplier.
• Per Diem is available for non-local candidates only. Per diem is $1,246/week for this project.
• This projects anticipated duration is around 1 year. Anticipated 50-60 hours weekly, schedule is subject to change.
• $400 Road Warrior Benefit each month.
• Annual pay/merit review/increase.
