Job summary

Paychex in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) focused on partnerships to drive growth. You will build cross-functional collaborations, identify target partners, and help shape the partner strategy from prospecting to onboarding.

The role requires strong negotiation skills, clear communication, and the ability to manage a pipeline in CRM/PRM. You’ll partner with product, sales, and legal teams, lead contract negotiations, and help expand Paychex’s HCM

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing - Preferred.
• 5+ years in BDR, Sales, or customer service; at least 1+ year in sales or business development.
• 2+ years of contract negotiation experience.
• Assessment, Communication, and Adaptability are required.
• CRM/PRM experience; Legal liaison and contract negotiation familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new partnerships aligning with customer needs through targeted prospecting.
• Manage complex contract negotiations with legal counsel to minimize cycle time.
• Collaborate with business partners to implement strategies and maintain stakeholder updates.
• Develop market understanding to inform channel and partnerships strategy.
• Maintain knowledge of Paycor’s HCM solutions and partnerships to identify opportunities.
• Drive partner leads via webinars, LinkedIn campaigns, and targeted content.
• Track activities in PRM/CRM and maintain a healthy pipeline to meet goals.
