Job summary

The ASPCA seeks a Registered Veterinary Technician to join the Mobile Clinics in the Greater Los Angeles area. You will direct workflow, assist veterinarians, and ensure high-quality care for cats and dogs across HQHVSN and preventive services.

You’ll train, coach, and coordinate staff to deliver compassionate care throughout busy days. Responsibilities include clinical tasks, client communication, and maintaining clinic safety while supporting the Mobile Leadership Team.

Qualifications

• Must have current California State Registered Veterinary Technician License.
• Ability to work well with a team and communicate with all staff levels.
• Desire to serve clients in a kind, nonjudgmental manner.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
• Strong interest in animal welfare and serving underserved communities.
• Excellent animal handling skills.
• Must be able to lift and carry 40+ pounds.

Responsibilities

• Direct workflow and assist veterinarian with medical treatments.
• Coordinate daily clinic flow to maximize patient care.
• Perform veterinary technician functions including venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, and recovery.
• Communicate with clients with a kind, nonjudgmental approach.
• Lead nursing staff in safety, breaks, and attendance per SOPs.
• Assist with hiring, scheduling, and daily huddles for the Mobile Clinics.
