Job summary

The ASPCA’s Mobile Veterinary Services program seeks a Registered Veterinary Technician Staff and Flow Manager to lead workflow, assist veterinarians, and coordinate daily clinic operations across the Greater LA area.

You will work closely with the management team, provide high-quality care, and help deliver compassionate services in underserved communities. This role offers full-time hours with travel between clinics and potential clinic assignments.

Qualifications

• Must have current California State Registered Veterinary Technician License.
• Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
• Desire to serve clients in a kind, helpful and nonjudgmental manner.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
• Strong interest in animal welfare and serving underserved communities.
• Must possess excellent animal handling skills.
• Must be able to lift and carry 40+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of veterinary technician functions, including venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation and assistance, diagnostics, pharmacy and patient recovery.
• Work with staff veterinarians, technicians, and assistants to support HQHVSN and PPC for cats and dogs.
• Use low-stress, gentle animal handling techniques to provide a safe environment for animals, staff, and clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients using a kind, nonjudgmental approach, assist with intake, obtain history and discharge patients.
• Oversee workflow to ensure efficient use of time and skills to help the optimal number of patients daily.
• Coach nursing staff to handle patients in a gentle, low-stress manner and support ASPCA’s mission.
• Ensure staff deliver high-quality patient care and adhere to CM procedures.
• Lead a culture of safety and assist with hiring, scheduling, and attendance.
