Job summary

The ASPCA’s Mobile Veterinary Services (MVS) unit in Los Angeles County seeks an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician Staff and Flow Manager. You will oversee workflow, assist veterinarians, and coordinate clinic operations to deliver high-quality care in community veterinary settings.

Requirements include a California RVT license and at least five years as a RVT in small animal medicine; shelter medicine and HQHVSN experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a California State Registered Veterinary Technician License.
• Minimum five years of experience as RVT in small animal medicine/surgery; shelter medicine and HQHVSN experience preferred.
• English language proficiency stated as required; bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform broad RVT duties: venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, surgical prep/assistance, diagnostics, pharmacy and patient care.
• Support HQHVSN and PPC for cats and dogs alongside veterinarians and staff.
• Provide low-stress animal handling and clear client communication for intake, history, and discharge.
• Oversee workflow and ensure efficient use of medical staff to maximize daily patients.
• Train and onboard new team members; mentor interns and residents.
• Assist with hiring, scheduling, time/attendance, and daily huddles; support Mobile Leadership Team.
