Job summary

The Roux Institute at Northeastern University seeks a Contracts and Budget Manager to provide day-to-day contracting and financial administration support for Initiative 5, Maine’s Rural Health Transformation Program. You will collaborate with OGC, NU finance, and hospital partners to execute sub-award agreements, consultant contracts, and hospital funds while tracking compliance and invoicing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, finance, or related field.
• 4–6 years of contract administration or grants/financial administration experience.
• Knowledge of sub-award agreements, invoicing, and basic compliance.
• Experience in university, government, or grant-funded environments is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and discretion.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication with University offices and external vendors/hospital administrators.
• Proficiency with Excel and Office; familiar with financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day contracting and financial administration support.
• Support sub-award, consultant, and hospital funding contracts; assist with invoicing and compliance.
• Coordinate with Office of General Counsel and NU finance teams.
• Track deadlines and ensure timely execution of agreements across vendors and hospitals.
• Monitor compliance and reporting requirements for government-funded initiatives.
