Job summary

Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation in rural Alaska seeks a Certified Community Health Aide Practitioner to lead training and skill-building for Community Health Aides. The role emphasizes teaching, patient care, and program representation across field settings.

You will work under CHA program guidelines, maintain clinical proficiency, and participate in continuing education and state-level activities. Alaska Native preference applies, with full-time hours and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Two years of health care experience in village settings.
• Certified Community Health Aide Practitioner.
• Current Alaska Driver’s License.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Email, E-Cham, I-Cham, RAVEN, and Telehealth.

Responsibilities

• Maintain established department policies, procedures, quality improvement and safety standards.
• Prepare, teach and evaluate CHA training per statewide curriculum guidelines.
• Teach Health Aides to use the CHA Manual to conduct patient encounters in acute and preventive care, including skills like IV starts and wound care.
• Precept students in practical patient care using CHAM as a guide and participate in field requirements.
• Represent CHA Program at meetings and state committees when required.
