Job summary

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is seeking a Community Health Aide/Practitioner to deliver primary and emergency care in village clinics across rural Alaska. Residency in the village or relocation is required, with willingness to travel for training and itinerant coverage.

You will participate in preventative and chronic care activities, and may lead as Lead Health Aide. Proficiency with RPMS/Telehealth is expected, and a robust benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must read, write and perform math at an 8th grade level (TABE).
• Nominated by village leadership to provide service.
• Willing to relocate or reside in the village and travel for training.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary, acute, chronic and preventive care in village clinics.
• Deliver emergency care and year-round coverage, including summers.
• Attend basic trainings at Bethel or other sites and participate in itinerant coverage.
