Merck is seeking a Territory Representative to engage customers in the Beef and Dairy segments across designated U.S. territories, focusing on Animal Health products and services.

You will develop customer strategies, collaborate with specialty teams, and drive sales opportunities while expanding your knowledge of the product portfolio. The role requires excellent communication, adaptivity to a changing environment, and willingness to travel overnight and on weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Familiarity with Beef and Dairy Industry.
• Excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel overnight and some weekend activity.

Responsibilities

• Communicates about product in a way that's meaningful and relevant to each individual customer; customizes discussions based on customer needs.
• Primary point of contact for assigned customers; meets with key personnel/decision makers to identify business opportunities.
• Develop customer strategy for interactions, solutions and offerings to drive sales opportunities.
• Develop territory and account plans; collaborate with Technical Services and field partners to drive sales growth.
• Work across species teams to enhance knowledge of the product portfolio.
• Analyze sales results monthly and manage expenses within budget guidelines.
• Identify available programs/services to address customer needs and provide education & training.
