Job summary

Merck & Co. is seeking a Territory Representative to engage face-to-face with customers, assess needs, and drive sales of Animal Health products within an assigned territory.

The role emphasizes building accounts, developing strategies with cross-functional teams, and delivering education and solutions aligned to customer goals. Travel overnight and some weekends are required, with remote work flexibility where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with beef and dairy industry preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel overnight and some weekend activity.

Responsibilities

• Communicates about product in a way that's meaningful and relevant to each customer; customizes discussions based on customer needs.
• Primary contact for assigned customers; meets with key decision makers to understand practice structure and identify business opportunities.
• Develop customer strategy and territory/account plans to drive sales growth of Animal Health products and services.
• Collaborate with Technical Services, ID/Infrastructure Specialists, Monitoring Specialists, National Account Managers, and Distribution Partners to maintain account focus.
• Work across species teams to enhance knowledge of the portfolio and share insights with the region.
