Job summary

GardenCore is seeking a Forklift Operator to operate a forklift in a rugged 50+ acre outdoor environment and in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will work onsite in McLean, IL.

The role requires at least 2 years of forklift experience in an outdoor yard, a high school diploma or GED, the ability to pass forklift certification training, and strong English reading/writing skills. Compensation includes an hourly rate with benefits and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ forklift experience in an outdoor yard environment.
• Ability to perform routine inspection, fueling and preventive maintenance duties.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Must pass internal Forklift Certification Training.
• Ability to interface with transportation, dispatch and trailer hitch operations.
• Physical ability to lift up to 65 lbs and work in dusty/hot/cold conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate stretch wrap machines and extended boom arm forklift equipment.
• Organize product on the yard according to inventory procedures.
• Safely load and unload product from flatbeds and box trailers.
• Audit shipping documents, weights, measures, labels and production schedules.
• Other duties as needed.
