Job summary

Fuse Integration in San Diego is seeking an Hardware Engineering Manager to lead our Mechanical and Electrical Engineering teams, guiding the people, processes, and practices needed to deliver rugged, mission-ready hardware.

You will co-lead technical execution with Principal Engineers, manage staffing and career development, and ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability goals across the full hardware lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of experience developing complex hardware or electro-mechanical systems.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, and career development.
• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Fuse's Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, and Designers.
• Co-lead hardware execution with Principal Engineers; set direction and quality standards.
• Drive hardware lifecycle from concept through production and sustainment.
• Collaborate with Systems, Software, Network, Product, Production, and Programs teams.
