Job summary

Fuse Integration Inc. is seeking a Hardware Engineering Manager in San Diego to lead the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering teams, hiring and mentoring staff, and coordinating with cross-functional groups to deliver rugged, mission-ready hardware.

The role involves co-leading technical execution with Principal Engineers, guiding design maturity, and ensuring risk management across programs while maintaining strong engineering processes and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience leading hardware engineering teams.
• Experience partnering with Principal Engineers and cross-functional groups.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and develop talent.
• Strong background in electro-mechanical hardware development and design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Fuse's Hardware Engineering team across mechanical and electrical disciplines.
• Co-lead hardware technical execution with Principal Mechanical and Electrical Engineers.
• Drive hardware development from concept through production and sustainment.
• Align resources with program priorities and ensure compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with Systems, Software, Network, Product, Production, and Quality teams.
• Represent hardware in customer engagements and program reviews.
