Job summary

Dalewood Middle School in Chattanooga, TN seeks an RTI instructor to coordinate the Response to Intervention program and support the school's RTI goals.

The RTI Teacher will provide tier 2 and tier 3 instruction, coach staff, monitor Fidelity Checks, and collaborate with instructional coaches and families to accelerate student achievement.

This role requires strong communication, data-driven planning, and a commitment to rigorous, inclusive curriculum.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with students, educators, parents and community.
• Experienced in math and/or literacy instruction.
• Committed to inspiring and engaging students and maintaining high expectations.
• Able to be a positive team-player and communicate effectively with colleagues and families.
• Willing to be coached and accept feedback to improve instruction.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the school’s RTI Facilitator for 50-80% of the school day.
• Attend monthly RTI Facilitator meetings and District In-Service; redeliver content to staff.
• Complete Fidelity Checks for tier 2 and tier 3 instruction; coach and mentor staff.
• Support school in implementing dyslexia instruction and related plans.
• Plan and deliver tier 2/3 instruction for 20-50% of the day; align with HCS RTI Framework.
