Job summary

LEAD Public Schools, Inc. seeks a Reading Interventionist to instruct and monitor students’ foundational reading skills, using data to drive growth and close achievement gaps. The role emphasizes small-group instruction, collaboration with the RTI team, and ongoing coaching to improve practice.

The ideal candidate will have Tennessee certification, 2–3 years’ experience with youth, and experience with reading instruction or EL/ELL contexts, contributing to district literacy goals.

Qualifications

• Current Tennessee teaching certification or ability to obtain one.
• 2–3 years of experience working with children/young adults in a school or similar setting.
• Experience teaching reading, ELA, EL/ELL, or related foundational reading knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead small-group instruction for middle/high school students in foundational reading.
• Plan and individualize lessons to address student needs and align with school culture and curricula.
• Administer and analyze screening and progress-monitoring data to inform instruction and drive reading growth.
• Communicate student progress to families and staff; collaborate with RTI coach and PLCs for ongoing development.
