Job summary

Responsibilities include administering treatments, coordinating care with nursing and therapy staff, ensuring infection control, documenting care, and contributing to individualized resident care plans. Hourly pay ranges $32–$40 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• Current CRT or RRT licensure in the state of Tennessee.
• Accredited with the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Maintain active licensure and CEUs.
• Complies with state and Federal regulatory requirements.
• Complies with organizational policies and procedures.
• Complies with Health and Safety Standards and Guidelines.
• Current ACLS and BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of the pulmonary care modalities within licensure scope.
• Administers respiratory therapy treatments and interventions.
• Assesses barriers to participation and optimal function during treatments.
• Coordinates with nursing, physical therapy, and infection prevention staff.
• Follows equipment sterilization procedures and infection control.
• Documents pertinent data in patient medical records after treatment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of varying acuity levels and care plans.
• Operates and maintains respiratory therapy equipment safely.
• Maintains knowledge of oxygen therapy and hazards.
• Contributes to development of individualized care plans for residents.
• Treats residents and families with respect and dignity.
• Assesses patient needs and response to treatment.
• Works with diverse populations and manages conflicts.
• Attends/teaches in-service programs to maintain competency.

Tennessee CRT or RRT licensure
