Job summary

St. Davids North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join the patient-focused care team. You will perform critical care and diagnostic procedures for cardiopulmonary diseases across all ages, maintain respiratory equipment, and ensure timely reassessment and documentation.

Collaboration with physicians and nurses is essential for optimal patient care. The role requires NBRC RRT credential, current Texas license, BLS, and area-specific certifications (NRP

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential.
• Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• BLS certification is current.
• NRP certification for NICU staff and ACLS for ICU staff as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate respiratory care equipment.
• Perform cardiopulmonary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Assess patients and interpret results to guide treatment.
• Maintain accurate documentation and quality control.
• Communicate care plans with physicians and nurses.
