Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center in Round Rock, TX, seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to support patient care across ages in a high-acuity environment. You will set up and operate respiratory equipment, perform specialty procedures, and collaborate with physicians and nurses on care plans to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications include NBRC RRT, Texas license, and BLS. NICU staff require NRP; ICU staff require ACLS.

Qualifications

• RRT credential required.
• Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license required.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP certification required for NICU staff.
• ACLS certification required for ICU staff.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of respiratory care equipment.
• Perform a range of cardiopulmonary procedures.
• Demonstrate competency in airway management and patient assessment.
• Assess patients, interpret results, and suggest respiratory treatments.
• Maintain documentation and quality-control measures.
• Communicate with physicians and nurses regarding patient care plans and updates.
