Job summary

St. David’s North Austin Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to support critical care and diagnostic procedures for patients of all ages. You will operate respiratory equipment, perform cardiopulmonary procedures, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Required NBRC RRT, Texas license, BLS; NICU staff requires NRP and ICU staff ACLS. Prior acute care hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an American Medical Association accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential required.
• Current Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• NRP certification required for NICU RRT staff.
• ACLS certification required for ICU RRT staff.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate respiratory care equipment.
• Perform diagnostic procedures for cardiopulmonary care.
• Assess patients and interpret results to guide treatment.
• Maintain documentation and quality control for respiratory therapy.
• Communicate with physicians and nurses about patient care plans.
