Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to deliver high-quality cardiopulmonary care across age groups. You will set up equipment, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and collaborate with a patient-focused team.

The ideal candidate maintains NBRC, Texas license, BLS, and NICU NICU/ICU certifications (NRP/ACLS as required). Experience in an acute care hospital is preferred and professional communication with physicians is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (NBRC).
• Active Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• Current BLS certification; NRP required for NICU staff; ACLS required for ICU staff.
• Acute Care Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate respiratory care equipment.
• Perform procedures related to cardiopulmonary hemodynamics.
• Demonstrate competency in airway care.
• Assess patients, interpret results, and suggest alternatives.
• Document patient care and outcomes accurately and timely.
• Communicate with physicians and nurses about care plans.
