Job summary

St. David's HealthCare in Austin, Texas is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our patient-focused team. You will perform critical diagnostic procedures for cardiopulmonary diseases and maintain respiratory care equipment.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and holds multiple licenses and certifications including BLS and ACLS. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package along with a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Current Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) provider certification.
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required for NICU RRT Staff.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required for ICU RRT staff.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment.
• Perform technical procedures related to cardiopulmonary hemodynamics.
• Demonstrate competency in proper airway care.
• Accurately assess patients and interpret results.
• Perform routine patient assessments and recognize respiratory dysfunction.
• Act as a respiratory care protocol assessor.
