Job summary

ERM is seeking Land Agents to support electric transmission and distribution projects across Massachusetts, New York, and Connecticut. This full-time, 12-month term role involves acquiring land rights, licenses, permits and related documents for project construction and maintenance.

The position requires a high school diploma and at least 3 years of ROW experience; real estate license is preferred. Some travel and Notary within 30 days may be necessary.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of ROW experience; transmission project experience preferred.
• Notary public or ability to obtain within 30 days required.
• Active real estate license preferred; IRWA membership a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office, Google Earth, ArcGIS and data management software.
• Knowledge of real estate values and appraisal practices.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with land owners and designees.
• Resolve complex damage claims related to construction.
• Search records to determine ownership and interests.
• Assist in establishing fair market values for land acquisitions.
• Draft and supervise rights-of-entry, leases, permits, options and related documents.
• Follow health and safety policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
