Job summary

ERM is seeking Right of Way (ROW) Agents to support pipeline and electric transmission project efforts across the United States, with 100% travel required. The role focuses on acquiring land, land rights, licenses, leases, permits and other documents for project construction, operation and maintenance.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 3–6 years ROW experience, strong negotiation and communication skills, and familiarity with real estate values and appraisal practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• 3–6 years ROW experience.
• Solid knowledge of PCs, MS Office, Google Earth, ArcGIS.
• Knowledge of real estate values and appraisal practices.
• Ability to work in remote locations for long periods; professional and communicative.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with land owners or designees on diverse and complex matters.
• Settle complex damage claims related to construction activities.
• Search records to determine ownership and extent of interest.
• Establish fair market values for land and land rights.
• Draft or supervise documents for rights of entry, easements, licenses, leases, permits and options.
• Comply with corporate health and safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
