Job summary

ERM is hiring Land Agents to support electric transmission and distribution projects in Massachusetts, New York, and Connecticut. You will negotiate land rights, settlements, and prepare documents required for acquiring rights for project needs.

The role is full-time (40 hours/week), 12 months with potential extension. Travel regionally is required, and a valid driver’s license is necessary. A real estate license is preferred, with Notary within 30 days.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of ROW experience, transmission project experience preferred.
  • Active real estate license preferred; notary within 30 days required.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct diverse negotiations with landowners or designees.
  • Settle complex damage claims related to construction.
  • Search courthouse records to determine current ownership.
  • Assist in establishing fair market values for land and rights.
  • Draft documents for rights of entry, damages, easements, leases, licenses, options.
  • Comply with health and safety policies.
