Job summary
Stantec is seeking a Project Manager to lead electrical transmission routing and substation siting projects for IOUs and developers. You will manage projects, provide routing/siting or environmental permitting expertise, mentor staff, and support business development.
You will also write proposals, develop plans, and drive projects toward cost-effective closure. The role requires strong technical writing, GIS understanding, and effective communication with clients and regulators.
Qualifications
- Experience executing routing and siting projects.
- Advanced skills in technical writing.
- Understanding of GIS processes and capabilities is desirable.
- Strong communication with clients, engineers, scientists, regulators and the public.
- Disciplined approach to project delivery and technical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage tasks and projects within approved scopes and budgets.
- Lead routing and siting studies for linear energy projects.
- Support business development, proposals and client relationships.
- Interface with clients and environmental regulators.
- Prepare contract documents and contribute to HSSE compliance.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff and provide technical direction.
- Conduct peer reviews and coordinate complex assignments.
