Job summary

Stantec in the United States seeks a Project Manager to lead electrical transmission routing and substation siting projects for investor-owned utilities and independent developers. You will provide project management, act as routing and siting or environmental permitting SME, supervise staff, and support business development.

You will also write proposals and reports, develop plans, and implement steps to move projects toward closure in the most cost-effective manner.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, planning, engineering, or related field.
8+ years in related industry experience.
Advanced skills in technical writing.
Experience with routing and siting studies is desirable.
Ability to manage projects, supervise staff, and develop proposals.

Responsibilities

Manage tasks and projects according to approved scopes of work, delivering reports on schedule and within budget.
Lead routing and siting studies for linear energy projects.
Contribute to business development, including proposals and client relationships.
Interface with clients and environmental regulators.
Provide supervision and mentoring to junior staff.
Prepare contract documents.
Plan and conduct assignments with broad scope.
