Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Environmental Planner/Siting Specialist to assist with electrical transmission line routing and substation siting projects for utilities and independent developers. You will contribute as writer and technical support for routing and siting and help write proposals and develop plans toward project closure.

Desirable GIS capabilities and NEPA experience. Strong communication skills, ability to work with diverse audiences, and willingness to travel as needed are important.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental science, planning, engineering, or related field.
5 years of industry experience desired.
Experience with routing and siting projects, NEPA, or related environmental work.
Strong technical writing skills.
Ability to communicate with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

Assist with routing and siting studies for energy projects.
Contribute to proposals and pre-qualifications.
Support Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies in execution of all work.
Complete tasks per approved scopes of work.
