- Part-time 16HRS: 8HRS shifts, 2 days per week – Saturday and Sunday
- Full-time 32HRS: 6HRS shifts, 5 days per week – days may vary
- Full-time 40HRS: 8HRS shifts, 5 days per week – days may vary
Duties of a Routing Dispatcher:
- Ability to multi-task
- Minimum 2 years experience in a call center or dispatch environment
- Proficiency with MS Suite, especially Excel
- Experience with calendar and scheduling software
- Familiarity with CRM software
- Experience with Help Desk or Call Center Software
- Proficiency with Internet Browser software
- Knowledge of Geographic or Map software
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Strong Decision-Making Skills
- High school diploma required
- Previous work experience such as counter clerks, rental car clerks, customer service representatives, or bank tellers is beneficial
- On-the-job training will be provided; a recognized apprenticeship program may be associated with this role
Responsibilities of a Routing Dispatcher:
- Dispatching and scheduling transportation for WHC programs/clients
- Providing on-demand driver routing support and other assistance as needed
- Monitoring all trips and routes, making adjustments to ensure timely delivery
- Confirming driver availability with drivers and clients
- Managing transportation incidents, reports, schedule changes, and updates
- Coordinating with Road Supervisors and department managers
- Responding promptly and professionally to calls, texts, emails, chat groups, and radio alerts
- Handling passenger and client inquiries courteously
- Performing additional duties as assigned
- Dispatch experience is required
- Scheduling drivers according to customer requests and needs via radios, messages, or phones
- Preparing daily work and run schedules
- Consulting with customers or supervisors to address questions or service requests
- Receiving or preparing work orders
- Maintaining records of requests, services, charges, and expenses
- Determining personnel requirements based on program needs
- Advising personnel about traffic issues and hazards
- Overseeing communications within assigned programs
