Job summary

JW Craft / Premier Portables is seeking a routing and dispatcher to act as the liaison between drivers and customers, relaying delivery and pickup instructions and providing timely updates. You will support finance, customer service, and operations with daily office tasks while ensuring efficient route planning and service quality.

The role requires strong multitasking, data entry, and communication skills, with experience using Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and route logistics software.

• Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into computer software and systems.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Serves as an intermediary between drivers and customers and communicates delivery/pickup instructions to drivers.
• Schedules and dispatches drivers, work crews, vehicles, or equipment according to schedules or immediate needs.
• Communicates with drivers to notify them of daily assignments and assists with troubleshooting.
• Monitors drivers' daily route performance and escalates concerns to management.
• Contacts team members via phone, radio, or text to coordinate operations.
• Resolves customer/service or payment issues with supervisors or customers.
• Prepares daily routes and schedules and updates as needed for efficiency.
• Weekly reviews routes for efficiency within service area.
• Collaborates with Customer Service and Billing to ensure service quality and paid services.
• Provides end-of-day reporting to management for incomplete assignments.
• Supports billing/accounts receivable, reception duties, and document preparation as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
