Five Star Breaktime Solutions in Kentucky is seeking a Retail Team Leader to support our retail merchandising operations at the branch level. You will assist the Retail Team Manager, coach merchandisers, and cover routes during vacations to ensure top-quality service and compliant execution.

Responsibilities include loading and delivering beverages, snacks, coffee, and fresh foods to client locations, validating orders, maintaining inventories, and upholding FIFO, safety, and cash-handling

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two years of retail operations, merchandising, or route experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must consent to a drug screen and pre-employment background check.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the route.
• Must be 21 to meet DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Retail Team Manager with daily route operations, ensuring service quality, compliance, and profitability.
• Provide coaching, training, and feedback to retail merchandisers, promoting consistent execution of company standards.
• Fill in for open or vacation routes, ensuring uninterrupted service and customer satisfaction.
• Load, deliver, and merchandise a variety of products including beverages, snacks, coffee, and fresh food items to client locations.
• Verify orders, reconcile variances, and follow operational procedures to maintain accurate delivery and inventory records.
• Execute all plan-o-grams, promotions, and retail initiatives as directed by corporate and regional leadership.
• Replenish, rotate, and display products following SOPs and FIFO standards.
• Maintain freshness and quality of perishable products by proper refrigeration and temperature control.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain vending and micro-market equipment, displays, and checkout areas.
• Collect and reconcile cash and coin collections from vending and market locations with accuracy and security.
• Monitor product inventory, reorder items as needed, and ensure adequate stock levels for all assigned accounts.
• Conduct minor equipment maintenance such as filter replacements, cleaning, and bulb or paper changes.
• Maintain assigned company vehicles in a clean and safe condition; perform daily inspections and follow DOT and fleet policies.
• Support customer retention through excellent communication, timely service, and professionalism.
• Adhere to all safety, loss prevention, and cash-handling policies.
