Job summary

Five Star Breaktime Solutions is seeking a Retail Team Leader to support retail merchandising operations at the branch or division level. The role includes acting as a relief merchandiser during vacations and open routes while coaching team members for best-in-class execution.

You will load, deliver, and merchandise products at client locations, verify orders, and maintain inventory records. A valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 pounds, and DOT compliance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Two years of retail operations, merchandising, or route experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• DOT requirements: 21+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Retail Team Manager with daily route operations, ensuring service quality and profitability.
• Provide coaching and feedback to merchandisers to ensure consistent execution.
• Fill in for open or vacation routes to maintain uninterrupted service.
• Load, deliver, and merchandise beverages, snacks, coffee, and fresh foods at client locations.
• Verify orders, reconcile variances, and maintain delivery and inventory records.
• Execute plan-o-grams, promotions, and retail initiatives as directed by leadership.
• Replenish, rotate, and display products following FIFO and SOPs.
• Maintain freshness and proper refrigeration of perishable items.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain vending and micro-market equipment and displays.
• Collect cash and coin with accuracy and security.
• Monitor inventory, reorder items, and ensure adequate stock levels.
• Conduct minor equipment maintenance such as filter changes and bulb/paper changes.
• Maintain company vehicles with daily inspections and DOT compliance.
• Support customer retention through clear communication and timely service.
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and cash-handling policies.
• Promote a safe, compliant work environment and report unsafe acts immediately.
