Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Route Supervisor to oversee a team of route drivers and ensure safe, efficient service for customers in the Ohio area. The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to read maps and plan daily routes.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, monitoring safety and performance, and coordinating with management to meet company standards. Ability to work flexible hours and travel between offices is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Waste industry experience preferred.
• 2+ years truck driving experience a plus.
• Must have valid Class B CDL and DOT Medical Card prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily activities and performance of route drivers.
• Train, coach, and direct employees to improve performance.
• Monitor quality and safety standards and ensure compliance goals are met.
• Run routes as necessary (absences, vacations, breakdowns).
• Monitor attendance and documentation related to performance.
