Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services is seeking a Route Service Technician (Box Truck Driver) in Allentown, PA to service accounts and deliver excellent customer care. You’ll operate a 26 ft straight truck, comply with DOT regulations, and follow safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two or more years of customer service experience; route management preferred.
• Completion of accredited driving school or one+ year of commercial driving experience required.
• CDL Class B preferred but not required; MEC certification required.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and transport waste safely according to regulations.
• Plan daily schedules based on manifests and route sheets.
• Prepare and load trucks with supplies for daily service.
• Ensure waste is properly packaged for transport.
• Deliver high level of customer service to accounts and communicate issues.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance.
