Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services in Dallas is seeking a Route Service Technician (Box Truck Driver) to service assigned accounts, operate a 26 ft straight truck, and uphold safety and regulatory compliance. You will plan daily routes, load supplies, and ensure proper packaging for transport, while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of customer service experience; route management preferred.
• CDL Class B preferred but not required; MEC certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Transport waste safely according to federal, state, and local regulations.
• Plan daily routes based on customer needs and documentation.
• Load trucks with supplies and prepare for daily service.
• Ensure waste is properly packaged and ready for transport.
• Provide high levels of customer service and communicate issues.
• Secure loads and equipment before driving on public roads.
• Complete required paperwork, including DOT logs if applicable.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Adapt to fast-paced environments while maintaining safety.
• Other duties as assigned.
