Sharps Medical Waste Services in Pelham, AL is seeking a Route Service Technician (Box Truck Driver) to service assigned accounts and deliver safe, compliant waste transport. You will operate a 26 ft straight truck, follow DOT/state regulations, and complete required paperwork, with paid training, uniforms, health benefits, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in customer service; route management preferred.
• Completion of accredited driving school or 1+ years commercial driving.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; CDL-B preferred.
• Current MEC certification.
• Safe driving, loading, and unloading.
• Read maps and use computer systems.
• Able to lift 25–50 lbs, up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Push/pull carts up to 500 lbs with aids.
• Age 25+ with driving experience.
• Weather/ environment adaptable; safety-focused.
• Safety boots with slip-resistant soles; Bluetooth headset.
• Covid vaccine preferred; immunizations may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Pick up and transport waste safely per regulations.
• Plan daily schedules using manifests and route sheets.
• Prepare and load trucks with supplies.
• Ensure waste is properly packaged for transport.
• Deliver excellent customer service to accounts.
• Secure waste, supplies, and equipment before driving.
• Complete paperwork, including DOT logs if applicable.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Adapt to fast-paced environments and maintain safety.
