Job summary

Interstate Batteries seeks a Route Service Manager to deliver batteries and provide exceptional service to a predefined route of dealers. You will ensure battery quality programs are followed, optimize displays, and strengthen dealer relationships.

The role requires a year of delivery/customer service experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage accounts and paperwork while adhering to safety standards and over-time flexibility.

Qualifications

• High school graduate (or equivalent).
• Able to read, write, and compute basic math.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Minimum one year of delivery and customer service experience.
• Working knowledge of electronic inventory management tools is required.
• Demonstrates good organizational skills and can prioritize tasks.
• Works with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Approaches tasks with a sense of urgency.
• Able to work overtime if requested.
• Depending on location, the ability to work one or more overnight routes per week may be required.
• Be able to regularly lift and/or move 75 lbs.
• Must have and maintain a valid DOT medical card, state Driver's License, and an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Deliver batteries and service to each dealer on route safely.
• Follow safety rules and policies.
• Load and unload trucks and maintain asset records.
• Establish, build, and maintain dealer relationships.
• Keep displays full and rotated per agreements.
• Manage dealer accounts including sales, consignment, warranties, and invoicing.
• Complete route paperwork and transactions promptly.
• Interact professionally with stakeholders.
