Job summary

Martin’s Route Salesperson position seeks a customer-focused professional to grow sales and represent our pastries and products. You will be the front-line ambassador, promoting products, building relationships with store managers, and ensuring excellent service.

Responsibilities include order processing, cash handling, route planning, and maintaining displays while upholding safety and quality standards. Weekend availability and a valid license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of handheld order processing systems; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Promotes product to increase sales via shelf expansion, in-store promotions, end displays, and new customer introductions.
• Adheres to route sales objectives when acting as replacement for the established route.
• Operates sales ordering system and prepares paperwork; manages cash accounts.
• Performs duties safely by following company policies and safety regulations.
• Records sales or deliveries information daily; secures customer signatures.
• Merchandise production correctly according to product mix and displays.
• Call on prospective customers to solicit new business.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate with store management daily.
• Audits and reconciles cash at end of shift.
• Handles and resolves customer complaints with alternatives.

Education
