Job summary

Vestis is seeking a Route Sales Support Driver in Des Moines, IA to build strong customer relationships while exceeding sales goals. You will operate a step van, manage routes, and handle loads/unloads with strict safety and accuracy.

You will review invoices, assist in acquiring new business, and ensure timely product delivery. The role emphasizes proactive problem solving, communication, and adherence to safety policies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
• Customer service experience with routine contact with a variety of clients.
• Strong math and basic computer skills are required.
• Experience selling services/products and generating new business is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to work independently and solve customer concerns.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a step van to provide products and service to clients.
• Verify daily vehicle maintenance and keep operator documentation.
• Manage daily route to ensure timely delivery of product.
• Load/unload product per policy and guidelines.
• Review invoices for accuracy and correct as needed.
• Meet sales goals and promote route growth.
• Develop leads, call on prospective customers, prepare service agreements and install new accounts.
• Communicate services, policies, and pricing clearly to customers.
• Monitor customer feedback and handle issues promptly and courteously.
• Maintain personal safety and follow all safety practices.
