Job summary

Reliant Student Transport, LLC is seeking a part-time School Bus Route Driver to transport students safely along designated routes. The role prioritizes punctuality, clear communication with dispatch, and attentive passenger support, including children and riders with disabilities.

Applicants should have a valid license with a clean record and basic mechanical know-how for pre-trip inspections. Prior school bus experience is a plus, and strong customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in school bus driving preferred, but not necessary.
• Basic mechanical understanding to perform pre-trip inspections.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English; multilingual skills are a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to write reports and maintain accurate records.
• Previous experience in childcare or working with children is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a vehicle along assigned routes, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Assist passengers, including children and those with disabilities, during boarding and disembarking.
• Maintain accurate records of passenger counts, mileage, and any incidents.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or passenger needs.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all passengers, addressing any questions or concerns.
