4.0 School Services is seeking a dedicated school bus driver to operate a school bus, transport students safely on assigned routes, and enforce bus rules. The role requires pre-trip inspections, adherence to safety regulations, and effective communication with students, parents, and staff.

The position emphasizes punctuality, maintaining schedules, safe driving, and proper use of safety equipment. Applicants must meet CDL/Class B with School Bus endorsement and pass required trainings;

• Follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to establish effective relationships with staff and students.
• Flexible, friendly, and good at establishing quick rapport with students.
• Work with frequent interruptions.
• Maintain a timely schedule.
• Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality when dealing with students, staff, and/or parent information.

Responsibilities

• Operates the vehicle safely over an assigned route, picking up and delivering only authorized students at assigned bus stops.
• Keeps assigned time schedules and strives to be on time while ensuring safety.
• Communicates with parents, students, staff and co-workers and uses two-way radio during transit.
• Enforces bus rules and maintains student behavior.
• Maintains safety equipment usage including seat belts and restraints.
• Reports undisciplined students and compiles required reports.
• Conducts semi-annual bus evacuation drills and performs evacuations in emergencies.
• Reports accidents immediately and assists injured persons until help arrives.
• Maintains cleanliness and adequate fuel level of the vehicle.
