Job summary

Span Alaska Transportation (MSTS) in Anchorage is seeking a Dispatcher to manage driver routing, schedules and communications with customers and vendors, ensuring timely and accurate freight movement.

You will dispatch and route drivers, track enroute progress, update the shipment system, and provide daily supervision of drivers, with occasional warehouse support and local pickup/delivery as needed. This on-site role requires strong organization, safety awareness and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum one year of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Hazardous Materials Certification, or ability to obtain.
• Forklift Certification, or ability to obtain.
• Class A or B CDL, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and route drivers, destinations, and timelines.
• Interact with customers and vendors by phone or in person.
• Update shipment tracking system and maintain data integrity.
• Assist in warehouse and yard operations as needed.
• Provide daily supervision and direction to drivers.
