Qualifications

• Minimum of three years related experience in the transportation industry.
• Ability to read, write and interpret routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to schedule and route drivers and manage Hours of Service (DOT) with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates day-to-day full load dispatch activities to optimize equipment, facilities and personnel.
• Schedule and route drivers to meet freight pickup and delivery needs for commercial and personal customers.
• Maintain telephone/radio contact with drivers and use Compass to assign tasks and manage operations.
• Notify departments and customers of arrival and delivery times and dates.
• Assist HR/Safety to ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA and other regulatory agencies.
• Review Hours of Service, route optimization and fuel Idle records daily with computerized programs.
• Support terminal operations and equipment control as required.
