Job summary

Lynden Incorporated in Anchorage is seeking a Dispatcher to direct and coordinate full load truck dispatch activities, optimizing equipment and personnel use. You will schedule pickups and deliveries, communicate with drivers, and ensure safety and compliance while supporting operations with logistics software.

The role emphasizes hands-on coordination, regulatory compliance, and opportunities for professional growth within a team‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years related experience in the transportation industry.
Working knowledge of Compass, Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook; PeopleNet; RoadNet.
Alaska Commercial Driving License, Class A with air brake endorsement and hazmat recommended; ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

Direct scheduling of shipments and route drivers to meet freight needs.
Maintain telephone/radio contact with drivers and send tasks via Compass.
Monitor Hours of Service, route optimization and fuel idling using computerized tools.
Support compliance with DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies.
