Job summary

Amentum seeks Aircraft Mechanic I (Sheetmetal/Structures UH-60/AH-64/CH-47 MWO) to repair and replace structural components, fabricate parts, apply primers and paints, and support inspections and maintenance tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma, aviation maintenance experience, and the ability to obtain necessary clearances. Willingness to travel and possess own tools are important. US citizenship and CBA shift flexibility may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• U.S. military technical school or specialized training course desired; certification of education level required.
• Valid up-to-date A&P license (optional).
• Three years aviation maintenance experience, two years rotary wing aircraft experience, and two years on the assigned Mission Design Series (MDS).
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and replaces aircraft structural components (sheetmetal/structures) per drawings and manuals.
• Fabricates, modifies, and installs structural parts using forming techniques.
• Mixes and applies fiberglass materials and primers/paints to surfaces.
• Balances rotary-wing aircraft blades and performs inspections and checks.
• Requisitions parts and maintains records; assists aircraft technicians.
