Job summary

Amentum is hiring an Aircraft Mechanic I at Fort Cavazos, TX to repair and replace structural components on UH-60, AH-64, and CH-47 aircraft. You will work with sheet metal, perform metal-forming, and apply primers and paints while following safety procedures.

The role requires high school diploma, 3 years aviation maintenance experience, and ability to travel. You will support maintenance teams, review drawings, and maintain accurate records while upholding quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• U.S. military technical school or specialized training is desired; certification of education level is required.
• Valid up-to-date A&P license is optional.
• Three years aviation maintenance experience, two years rotary wing experience, and two years on the assigned MDS within the last six years.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to travel per CBA.
• Must be able to obtain a Passport and travel internationally for OCONUS work.

Responsibilities

• Repair, fabricate, modify and install structural aircraft parts per manuals.
• Balance rotary-wing helicopter blades and perform inspections.
• Prepare requests for parts and maintain logs and records.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify tolerances.
• Perform preventive maintenance and assist other technicians.
• Adhere to safety programs and company policies.
